At the OCAHS-BFSU, we often ask the fundamental question: “How can we prepare our students to excel in the 21st century?” This multi-faceted question guides us in facing the monumental challenges of implementing a forward-thinking model of international education while grounded in Chinese virtues – an ever-evolving education in an ever-evolving nation. Therefore, our core ideas of education center around equipping our students with not only 21st century skills, but also the wholesome personal qualities they will need to face a world full of emerging possibilities and opportunities.

In response to this challenge, the OCAHS-BFSU developed an educational framework that focuses on solving real-world problems, engaging students’ natural curiosity, while demanding collaborative and cross-subject learning. At the same time, we provide a comprehensive ethical, mental and spiritual education that embraces the idea of transformation through healing and growth, in a school community that fosters love, compassion and acceptance. Overall, we strive to develop our students in areas of citizenship, technology, creativity, leadership, traditions, global vision, and artistic esthetics.
